I believe in using digital marketing to create a positive impact, whether that be for people, organizations or the planet.
Since graduating from the University of Virginia with a B.S. in Commerce in 2013, I've joined the fast-paced and exciting world of marketing.
I'm drawn to working at purpose-driven companies, from non-profits to eco-friendly companies to professional membership bodies. The one thing they all have in common is that I strongly believe in both their mission and ability to make a positive difference.
I'm currently looking for digital marketing and communications opportunities that will enable me to be creative and grow at a company that believes "doing good is good business".
I've had the unique experience of working as a one-woman marketing team where I wore multiple hats, but I've also worked collaboratively across internal teams to successfully launch new products, services and events.
In addition, I've taken a UX Design course to create and test a new mobile app, and helped a non-profit, The Plato Society, improve their paid search campaigns with a monthly budget of $10,000.
In my free time, I like to write fiction stories and work on my travel blog and Instagram.

Melanie's marketing plan had a major impact on the success of a collaborative program between AIID and The Ritz Carlton Leadership Center. Regardless of the task, whether it was internal marketing during AIID courses or maintaining the website, she would always put forth her best effort.
Hamid Shafie President @ AIID
Melanie ran a successful LinkedIn campaign as part of the marketing mix for the Law Society HR Forum. Melanie shared her learnings from the LinkedIn element of the campaign with her colleagues and subsequently, we have run other LinkedIn campaigns.
Clive Russell Manager @ The Law Society
Melanie is a talented and hardworking problem solver. Perhaps one thing that really sets her apart is her creativity. Melanie would be a great asset to any organization, large or small and would work very well in a team environment.
Omar Al-Midani President @ PureLife
Melanie was an asset to our Marketing Department. She is thorough and detail-oriented and excels at completing tasks in a timely manner. She also proposed interesting and outside-the-box ideas for new projects (especially new customer acquisition strategies).
Scott Price Senior Manager @ PureLife
While working with Melanie, I saw directly how well she manages both up and down, and how her colleagues continuously relied on her to tackle tough projects - working with even tougher customers. She’s a rare mix of writer/storyteller wrapped in a metrics-driven marketer.
